About Us

The greatest gift we can give our children isn't just an acceptance letter — it's the confidence to navigate their own path with a steady hand.

College admissions today is not just competitive — it's unclear. Students are told to work hard, take rigorous classes, and stay involved. But without direction, effort alone isn't enough.

Most families are doing the right things — just without a clear plan. We started ipoint because we lived this. We went through the college process with our own teenagers, watched what worked and what didn't, and kept thinking: why is no one helping families see the full picture? So we built what we wished had existed.

We are Inga Vaysman and Iris Gelles

MBA graduates, project managers, longtime friends, and mothers. We've guided our own children through this process and saw firsthand what makes the difference. Not more activities. Not more pressure. But clear, intentional strategy.

"This is not about doing more. It's about doing the right things — at the right time."
— Inga & Iris

I came to this work through my own kids. When my teenagers reached high school, I realized that hard work alone isn't enough — you need a critical path. So I built one, drawing on my background in professional project management.

My career has been defined by turning high-stakes complexity into structured, manageable plans. When I applied that same thinking to college admissions, the process didn't just get easier — it got clearer. That clarity is what I bring to every family at ipoint.

I personally visit campuses and engage with admissions teams because real strategy requires boots-on-the-ground intelligence. I attend professional conferences to stay current on institutional priorities — so your student finds a place where they'll truly thrive.

When I'm not architecting student roadmaps, I'm usually lost in a good book — or convincing Iris to hike one more trail.

I became a college strategist at my kitchen table. I was deep in the process with my own teenagers and kept thinking — why is this so unclear? Why are families expected to figure this out alone? That question led me here.

I have the same professional background as Inga — MBA, PMP, years managing complex, high-stakes projects. But what shaped my approach most was watching smart, capable kids spin their wheels because no one had given them a real direction. That's the problem we're here to solve.

I believe every student has a compelling story. The work is helping them find it, shape it, and present it in a way that actually lands. I bring the same rigor I used to launch global projects to every student roadmap — because your student's future deserves that level of attention.

When I'm not doing that, I'm probably underwater somewhere — scuba diving is my way of remembering that the best things take patience and the right preparation.

Who we are outside the work

When we aren't advocating for students, attending NACAC and WACAC conferences, or exploring new campuses on college visits, you'll find us hiking local trails, exploring the world through travel, or volunteering in our community.

As parents, we know that the greatest gift we can give our children isn't just an acceptance letter — it's the confidence to navigate their own path with a steady hand. That belief drives everything we do.
